Oath and after: Chandrababu to re-enter Assembly as CM today

Vijayawada: On the first day of the AP Assembly session on Friday, the ruling Telugu Desam MLAs will first pay homage at NTR's statue at Venkatapalem before entering the house.

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has instructed his party MLAs to come to Venkatapalem in yellow shirts by 9 am. Chandrababu had vowed he would enter the House as Chief Minister again, in a speech in the Assembly on November 19, 2021.
The new Assembly will begin its first session at 9.46 am on Friday. The Session will last only two days. The newly elected will be sworn in as MLAs and this will he followed by the election of the Speaker.
Senior MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, as protem speaker, will administer the oath to the members. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will take the oath first, followed by the deputy CM. YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will take oath as an ordinary member as he does not have the opposition leader status.
