Oberoi Group executive meets collector on Gandikota project
Speaking after his meeting with the Oberoi Hotels Group vice president Rajeev Nahar, the collector said Gandikota is an ancient and historical location, which is a popular tourist destination in the district.

Anantapur: Gandikota, the Grand Canyon of South, will soon become a top tourism destination with the central government providing Rs 77 crore for its overall development.
"Our plans for Gandikota as a tourism place has caught the attention of the hospital group Oberoi,” Kadapa collector Sridhar Cherukuri pointed out.
Speaking after his meeting with the Oberoi Hotels Group vice president Rajeev Nahar, the collector said Gandikota is an ancient and historical location, which is a popular tourist destination in the district. The place is connected by air, road and railways.
“It is no exaggeration that Gandikota will be on the world tourism map in the future,” Sridhar remarked. He pointed out that a Gandikota Development Committee has already been formed, which is formulating various development plans.
Infrastructure coming up include hotels, one belonging to the Oberoi Group, roads, resorts, viewpoints, playgrounds, gym, swimming pool, restaurants, children’s play zones, lighting, water jetties and a helipad.
