Officers’ Panel of AP, Telangana Discusses 15 Pending Bilateral Issues
Vijayawada: The first meeting of the Officers Committee of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states met here on Monday to discuss 15 pending bilateral issues and agreed on ways to resolve several of these issues.
There was clarity on the way forward for solving some of the issues while some other issues would require further discussions to hammer out agreements, official sources said here.
The meeting was co-chaired by the chief secretaries Neerabh Kumar Prasad of AP and Santhi Kumari of Telangana state, along with officials from both states.
The committee noted that 10 years have elapsed since the bifurcation of AP in 2014. It underlined the need for expeditious resolution of some issues based on the discussions held by CMs Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy on July 6.
With regard to some issues requiring further discussions, the committee asked the officials on both sides to review their respective data sheets, reconcile them, and place these before the panel during its next meeting.
