One-man panel chief reviews SC sub-classification quotas
Andhra one-man commission led by retired IAS officer Rajeev Ranjan Mishra to recommend measures to the government for fair distribution of benefits under the SC sub-classification reservation system on Friday visited Vijayawada.

Vijayawada: The Andhra one-man commission led by retired IAS officer Rajeev Ranjan Mishra to recommend measures to the government for fair distribution of benefits under the SC sub-classification reservation system on Friday visited Vijayawada.
Mishra visited the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) to assess the living condition of people and the status of various welfare schemes meant for Scheduled Caste (SC) communities.
Accompanied by VMC commissioner H. M. Dhyanachandra, Mishra visited Rellis Colony and interacted with residents to understand their living condition. He went over their housing and occupations to gather more insights into their socio-economic condition.
Mishra also visited an anganwadi centre where he inspected the nutrition provided to children, their height and weight records, and the facilities available at the centre.
Later, he interacted with the members of the Sainath self-help group and analysed their financial growth through self-employment, government loan assistance and the results of business ventures on their economic empowerment.
The commission chairman visited Patamata Zilla Parishad High School where he discussed with the headmistress about the education of SC students and the quality of mid-day meal services. He interacted with Class IX students to assess their learning abilities.
