Over 80,000 Kurnool beneficiaries lack Sachivalayam links
Kurnool: With a population of approximately 6.30 lakh, about 80,553 people in Kurnool city are currently not associated with any Sachivalayam despite receiving various government benefits.
Officials are investigating the reasons behind this anomaly and are working to link these individuals to their nearest Sachivalayam offices to ensure streamlined and efficient service delivery.
Earlier this month, the number of people not associated with any Sachivalayam was estimated at around 47,700. Following this finding, Commissioner Ravindra Babu directed the officials to conduct a swift survey in areas where residents were not linked to any ward Sachivalayam offices.
The goal is to ensure that these citizens, who are already beneficiaries of government services such as ration distribution, pensions and other welfare programmes, are correctly registered under the relevant sachivalayam. The ongoing survey aims to identify these individuals and promptly connect them with the nearest Sachivalayam office for further official processes.
Astonishingly, during the survey, officials discovered that many of these beneficiaries were not listed in government records or associated with any Sachivalayam office, despite receiving their entitled benefits. This discrepancy prompted an intensification of the survey, with officials working quickly to verify the credentials of these people.
Commissioner S. Ravindra Babu has emphasised that the details of those not linked to any Sachivalayam are being collected and forwarded to the government for necessary action. He also urged the people to cooperate in completing this survey efficiently to ensure that everyone receives the government welfare programmes they are entitled to.
