Pawan assures to fix issues of AP Assembly housekeeping staff

VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday interacted with the house keeping women staff of the AP Legislative Assembly. He inquired about the problems being faced by them.

The staff informed Pawan Kalyan that 154 of them had been working as farm labourers in the Amaravati capital. They are now functioning as the housekeeping staff in the assembly with a third-party contracting agency.

The women staff complained that though they joined the service eight years ago, they are getting a meagre pay of ₹10,000 per month.

They urged the Deputy CM to recognise them as municipal workers and provide job guarantee.

Pawan Kalyan assured the housekeeping staff that he would bring the issue to the notice of the Chief Minister and do justice accordingly.
