Pawan campaigns for NDA in Maharashtra, recalls Shivaji

Vijayawada:Jana Sena president and AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan campaigned for the NDA alliance at Degloor in the poll-bound Maharashtra state on Saturday.

“We are undertaking significant development programmes to transform Maharashtra into a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2028,” he told the gathering. He underlined that Maharashtra will play a vital role in making India a three-trillion-dollar GDP nation.

Pawan Kalyan will be campaigning in several Telugu-dominating places, as part of which he addressed a public meeting at Degloor.

The Deputy CM said, "I came to honour the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji, who taught us the meaning of fighting for our rights. I express my respect for the soil that imparted the concept of self-rule. I am here to pay tribute to the great land that became the Karmabhumi of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. In line with the values taught by Rani Mata Jijabai, I stand before you today.”

Pawan Kalyan sought support of people for NDA candidates contesting from Nanded Lok Sabha and Degloor assembly constituencies. He mentioned development programmes taken up by the NDA government in the last 10 years, like construction of 11,000 kilometres of roads, including the crucial 701-kilometre Samruddhi Mahamarg from Nagpur to Thane by India's Highway Man Nitin Gadkari.

The Deputy Chief Minister, a popular actor, said fighting in movies is easy, but standing up for dharma in real life is difficult. “The eternal dharma is strong; we must unite to protect Marathi language and culture,” he stated

Pawan Kalyan declared that the fortresses fought for by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj stand guard over southern India, keeping invaders at bay and preventing the destruction of temples. “I urge you to give solid support to the NDA alliance,” he added.
