Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan chaired a review meeting with the panchayat raj engineering, RWS department officials at his residence in Mangalagiri on Friday.
They discussed fund utilisation and the progress of the works executed by the engineering wings of the panchayat raj and the RWS departments.
During the day, Pawan Kalyan also received petitions from the people at the Jana Sena office and interacted with them. The AP State Art and craft unemployed teachers' association urged the state government to recruit drawing, craft and music teachers and noted that these posts had not been filled since 1986.
The outsourcing employees working in tribal welfare gurukul schools submitted a representation seeking the exclusion of filling 1,143 teacher posts at tribal welfare gurukul schools through Mega DSC as they were already working there. These employees also urged the government to ensure that salaries are paid to them as per the 2022 PRC and amend the Outsourcing Teacher System into Contract Residential Teachers system.
