Pawan names JS coordinators for MLC elections

Vijayawada:Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has named coordinators for the MLC elections based on parliamentary constituencies.

The Jana Sena coordinators are Kakinada – Thummala Ramaswamy, Rajahmundry – Yernagula Srinivasa Rao, Amalapuram – Bandaru Srinivas Rao, Narasapuram – Channamalla Chandra Sekhar, Eluru – Reddy Appalanaidu, Vijayawada – Ammisetti Vasu, Machilipatnam – Bandi Ramakrishna, Guntur–Nayab Kamal, and Narasaraopet – Vadranam Markandeya Babu.

As the countdown begins for the February 27 MLC elections, the three ruling alliance parties -- Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP -- are aiming to win two graduate constituency MLC seats. The counting of votes will take place on March 3.

Notably, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had issued instructions to ministers, legislators, party leaders and cadres to focus full attention on the MLC elections. He is conducting a series of meetings to strategize on making a clean sweep for the TD-led alliance. Similarly, Pawan Kalyan on Friday named his party’s coordinators for the MLC elections.

For the Graduate MLC elections in the united Godavari districts and unified Krishna and Guntur districts, Pawan Kalyan has designated coordinators from his Jana Sena party to work for the success of the alliance candidates.

The appointed JS leaders will gather support, coordinate matters and work for the win of Guntur and Krishna Graduates MLC aspirant Alapati Rajendra Prasad and United Godavari districts Graduate constituency MLC Perabatula Rajasekhar.
