Pension Adalat to Resolve Pensioners’ Issues Tomorrow
Vijayawada: The assistant PF commissioner (pension) regional office, Guntur, is conducting Pension Adalat and Prayaas Webinar on January 10 to resolve pension-related issues.
In a press release on Wednesday, the PF regional office said that all the pensioners of EPFO under the jurisdiction of the regional office, Guntur (Guntur, Krishna, and Prakasam districts) are informed that the Pension Adalat and Prayaas Webinar will be conducted through physical/digital mode on January 10. The pensioners who belong to the jurisdiction of the regional office, Guntur, can send their grievances and queries through WhatsApp/e-mails addressed to the assistant PF commissioner (pension), Guntur, duly marking as “Pension Adalat or Prayaas Webinar.” Also, they can attend through Webex meeting from 11 am to 12.00 pm. The office appealed to the PF members to make use of the online facilities and avoid visiting the office. The officials stated that emails can be sent to ro.guntur@epfndia.gov.in or to WhatsApp: 9494657469. The Webex ID is 2643 066 7796 and the password to login is epfo@1234 to join the online live session.
Kurnool-Nandyal passenger partially cancelled
Kurnool: Nandyal-Kurnool City passenger Train No. 77120 from Dhone to Kurnool will be partially cancelled on January 8, 10, and 26 due to railway track repairs, the South Central Railways announced. Railway CPRO Sridhar confirmed that the return service, Kurnool City-Nandyal passenger will run as scheduled. He suggested passengers plan their journeys accordingly.
Prakasam collector suspends three officials
Kurnool: Prakasam district collector A. Thameem Ansaria has suspended Kanigiri tahsildar Ch. Ashok Kumar Reddy, village revenue officer Radha, and revenue inspector Purushottam Reddy. The tahsildar and VRO were accused of demanding bribes for mutation services, while the RI allegedly misbehaved with a petitioner.
During a revenue sadassu in Punugodu, Kanigiri mandal, on January 4, farmers complained to the collector about unresolved mutation cases due to demands for bribes. A phone recording supporting the allegations was presented. Acting swiftly, the collector ordered an inquiry led by special deputy collector Lokeshwara Rao, who confirmed the charges in his report.
Criminal complaints have been filed against Ashok Kumar Reddy, VRO Radha, and the tahsildar’s private driver at Kanigiri Police Station, with an FIR requested. Additionally, revenue inspector Purushottam Reddy was also suspended after misbehaving with G. Narayana, a petitioner seeking mutation services in Bommireddypalle.
