Physical Fitness Tests Begin for Police Constable Aspirants in Anakapalli
VISHAKHAPATNAM: Physical fitness tests for police constable candidates commenced on Saturday, marking the fifth day of the recruitment process at the District Armed Reserved Ground in Anakapalli district, Visakhapatnam. The tests are part of the Andhra Pradesh State Level Recruitment Board (APSLRB) initiative for candidates who passed the preliminary written examination.
District SP Tuhin Sinha, who oversaw the proceedings, ensured the tests were conducted transparently and by APSLPRB regulations. Though 718 female candidates were expected to participate in the physical measurement test (PMT) and physical efficiency test (PET) on Saturday, only 307 attended. Of them, 186 candidates qualified for the next stage.
To facilitate a smooth process for female candidates, special female police personnel were appointed to supervise the tests. The procedure began with a verification of candidates' certificates, followed by biometric data collection before conducting the PMT and PET assessments. The physical fitness tests are scheduled to continue until February 1.
