Plane Flies Over Tirumala Temple Again, Devotees Express Anger
TIRUPATI: Devotees of Lord Venkateswara have expressed strong displeasure after an airplane flew over the Tirumala temple on Thursday. This marks yet another instance of flights passing above the sacred shrine, which is strictly prohibited according to Agama Shastra.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has repeatedly raised concerns with the central government, urging the declaration of the temple vicinity as a no-fly zone. However, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has reportedly not acted on the matter.
Devotees argue that frequent flights over the temple’s gopuram violate religious sentiments and Agama regulations. Experts have warned that such violations may lead to unforeseen consequences, as per temple traditions.
In recent days, there have been multiple reports of airplanes flying over the Tirumala shrine. Devotees have demanded immediate action to preserve the sanctity of the temple and ensure that no such incidents occur in the future.
