Police inspect private hostels in Jaggampeta for safety standards
Kakinada: A team of police officials, led by Jaggampeta circle inspector Y.R.K. Srinivas, conducted raids on 30 private hostels in the Rameswarampeta area of Gandepalli Mandal on Sunday night. The inspection focused on the safety measures in place for students residing in these hostels, including security arrangements, CCTV surveillance, and general facilities. Inspector Srinivas emphasised the importance of road safety for students commuting between their hostels and colleges, noting the risks posed by traffic accidents on the national highway. He urged students to be cautious while traveling. Additionally, he warned students against falling into harmful habits and vices, encouraging them to focus on their studies and well-being. The inspection also highlighted the increasing number of educational institutions in the area, with more students seeking hostel accommodation. Police officials are working to ensure that hostels meet the necessary safety standards to protect students.
