Police raid YSRC leader Gowtham Reddy's residence in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The police conducted raids on YSRC leader Punuru Gowtham Reddy's residence in Vijayawada. During the YSRC rule, he worked as FiberNet Corporation chairman.

The raids ere held after the court dismissed his anticipatory bail petition, filed relating to murder attempt on Ganduri Umamaheswara Sastry of Vijayawada.

With the court dismissing his bail petition, Gautam Reddy is absconding, fearing arrest.

Ganduri Umamaheswara Sastru filed a case against Gautam Reddy alleging that the YSRC leader had encroached his 375-yards house site and constructed a two-storey building on it.

Sastry filed a case in Satyanarayana Puram police station stating that Gautam Reddy, along with a few others, had tried to eliminate him by going for hired killers, to take possession of the valuable land. Sarma returned to India from US in 2017 and identified that his land was encroached.

Following the case, the court issued notices to Gautam Reddy several times and afterwards, he sought anticipatory bail.
