Police Uncover Job Scam in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam police uncovered a job fraud scheme on Thursday, orchestrated by a fraudulent company named A.S. Management Services, which enticed victims with work-from-home job offers while collecting security deposits without delivering any employment.

The scam was brought to the notice of police on September 3, when Pedada Nagamani, a Visakhapatnam resident, lodged a complaint with the commissioner of police via WhatsApp. In her report, Nagamani described how the company conducted interviews at a local business center and promised lucrative data entry positions.

Further investigation revealed a systematic approach by the perpetrators. On August 8, individuals including Bhavana Saini, Dhillon Resham Singh and Banoth Savithri, along with several accomplices who are currently in flee, conducted interviews and solicited security deposits ranging from Rs.3,500 to Rs.4,500 from applicants. After collecting these fees, they disappeared, leaving victims without the promised salaries and laptops.

In response to the complaint, the police traced the group to Vijayawada, where they were conducting interviews under the name of "Impact Solutions." Three suspects- Bhavana Saini, Dhillon Resham Singh, and Banoth Savithri were apprehended and brought back to Visakhapatnam. The investigation further identified Amit Kumar Sharma as the mastermind behind the operation, who registered A.S. Management Services in his wife's name. The company is believed to have executed similar scams in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.

The primary suspects in this fraud, including Amit Kumar Sharma, his wife Sonia Sharma (managing director), Sanjana Sharma (manager), Divyavani (HR), Navya (HR), Vikranth Singh (recruitment) and Chenna Kesava Reddy (HR), remain at large. The police are pursuing these individuals and encourage anyone with information about their whereabouts to come forward.
