Posts in Government Are a Responsibility, AP CM Tells Newly-Appointed Chairmen

VIJAYAWADA: "We are in public service and a post in government is a responsibility. We should never feel egoistic."

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated so as he addressed chairmen of various corporations on Wednesday. He congratulated all those who were nominated to various posts and interacted with them at the state Secretariat.

"As promised, we have nominated leaders from all the three alliance parties to these posts. All our movements, discussions and the style of work should be in a dignified way,” he said.

He made it clear that some more posts were still vacant and another list was ready.

Naidu said, "The party gives top priority for discipline. Those who could not be allotted party tickets in the recent polls were given preference while announcing the first list. Those who got posts should not feel that others have not worked hard and are not qualified. Justice would be done for all those who strive hard for the party."

He said, “Following the goal of ensuring social justice, Backward Classes (BCs) were given priority in the nominated posts based on their population ratio.”

Naidu said the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) played a major role in inviting investments to the state. “By creating infrastructure, major industrialists can be invited to AP to set up their units. If more industries are set up, more employment will be on offer. Efforts should be made to take the RTC much further.”

"I want all of you to function in close coordination with the ministers, MPs and MLAs,” the CM told the chairmen.
