Kurnool: A software engineer from Prakasam district, identified as D. Buchibabu, 40, drowned in an accident at a beach in California on Saturday. Buchibabu, originally from Mundlamuru and the son of Doddala Koteswara Rao, had been working in California. He was enjoying an outing with his family when the tragic incident occurred. His colleagues and family members in California informed his relatives back home about the mishap.
The grieving family has appealed to local Telugu Desam leader Gottipati Lakshmi and Union Minister Pemmasani Chandra Shekhar for assistance in bringing Buchibabu's body back to his native village. However, Darshi Circle Inspector Y. Rama Rao mentioned that the local police, including those in Darshi and Mundlamur, have not yet received any official information regarding the incident.
