Probe Hidden Cameras Case Thoroughly: CM Naidu

Vijayawada:Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the ongoing investigation into the installation of hidden cameras in Gudlavalleru Engineering College of Krishna district through a teleconference with the concerned officials and ordered an in-depth probe into the matter when the officials told him they could not find any hidden camera in the college so far. The CM suggested to respect the sentiments of the students in this regard and investigate the case thoroughly.

CM Naidu said he took the incident seriously as the matter was related to hundreds of female students and sent the SP and collector to the college yesterday. The CM instructed the officials to conduct an in-depth investigation and phones and laptops of the suspects should be examined by cyber experts. To prevent such incidents in the future, he ordered the officials to carry out checks with de-bugging devices at all places under the supervision of cyber security experts.

Chandrababu Naidu made it clear that whether a crime was committed or not will be known only after the completion of the investigation. He said that if such a dispute arises for the girls who are studying, they would be emotionally disturbed, hence, they and their parents need to be reassured. The CM asked anyone with additional information and evidence on this incident to send it to him directly. He said some people were making false propaganda based on this incident to scare the students and directed the authorities to stop such activities.
