Promotions Announced for Senior IPS and IAS Officers in Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada: The government of Andhra Pradesh has announced promotions for senior Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The orders were issued by the chief secretary K. Vijayanand.
In an order issued by the General Administration (SC.C) Department, two IPS officers from the 1994 batch have been elevated to the prestigious Above Super Time Scale (II) in the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). The officers, Kumar Vishwajeet, IPS, and A. Ravishankar, IPS, have been promoted with immediate effect. Following their promotions, they will retain their current positions: Kumar Vishwajeet as Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, and Ravishankar as Director General of Police, Crime Investigation Department (CID), Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, the General Administration (SC.A) Department announced the promotion of two IAS officers from the 1995 batch to the Above Super Time Scale (II) Apex Grade, with a fixed pay of Rs 2,25,000 per month. The promoted officers, G. Jayalakshmi, IAS, and A. Vani Prasad, IAS, have been re-designated. Jayalakshmi continues as Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and is now titled Special Chief Secretary, while Vani Prasad remains Principal Secretary to the Government in the LFB & IMS Department but assumes the title of Special Chief Secretary.
