Purandeswari says huge mandate is for developing AP

Vijayawada: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari on Wednesday said given the huge mandate that TD-JS-BJP alliance has received, it has the great responsibility of developing the state.

Addressing a meeting of newly elected party MLAs and MPs, she described the victory of the three-party alliance as a great achievement.
At the same time, the BJP AP president asked the elected members to consider their victory as a warning and take up welfare and development. She pointed out that the previous regime had been taught a lesson for its acts of corruption.
Purandeswari cautioned that if the elected government failed to take up welfare of people, they (people) would take the right decision at an appropriate time. She underlined that people will not tolerate politics of vengeance after assuming power or failure to develop the state after a huge mandate.
The state BJP president criticised the previous YSRC government for ignoring development of Amaravati as capital city and the Polavaram irrigation project.
Later, BJP leaders facilitated the newly appointed union minister of state for steel and heavy industries Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma and newly elected MP C.M. Ramesh, besides the newly elected MLAs.
