Purandeswari Wants KK Line Within Visakhapatnam Division
Addressing a press conference at the BJP's city office here on Sunday, she highlighted several initiatives that the central government has taken up in AP.

Visakhapatnam: BJP Andhra Pradesh chief Daggubati Purandeswari has requested union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to ensure that the Kothavalasa-Kirandul (KK) railway line remains within the Visakhapatnam division.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP's city office here on Sunday, she highlighted several initiatives that the central government has taken up in AP. She pointed out that Rs 12,800 crores have been allocated in the union budget for Polavaram project, with an additional Rs 850 crore released for constructing a new diaphragm wall. The state capital Amaravati is set to receiveRs 25,000 crore in loans, including Rs 15,000 crore from the Asian Development Bank, she underlined.
The AP BJP chief pointed out that the union steel minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has announced aRs 11,440 crore package to revitalise the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
She expressed delight over BJP scoring a significant victory in the Delhi assembly elections. She declared that the saffron flag is now flying high across the nation, highlighting the party's return to power in Delhi after a gap of 27 years.
BJP leader G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, who was present, called BJP's victory in Delhi a historic achievement. He attributed the victory to faith of Delhi's people in Narendra Modi's leadership and their disillusionment with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He said that the BJP will fulfil all the promises it has made to the people of Delhi in the run up to the elections.
