Ramakrishna Elected as Rice Millers’ Association President (Representational Image)
Kakinada: Nunna Ramakrishna has been elected as Kakinada Rice Millers’ Association president in the place of Dwarampudi Veerabhadra Reddy, who resigned four days ago.
Peddapuram MLA Nimmakayala China Rajappa had advised rice millers to elect a new executive body, as Dwarampudi Bhaskara Reddy had been the association’s president for more than 30 years and Bhaskara Reddy’s son Dwarampudi Veerabhadra Reddy has held the post for past four years.
Following Rajappa’s advice has elected a new executive body with Nunna Ramakrishna as the president.
The other new office bearers are G. Appa Rao, P. Nageswara Rao, and Koyya Srinivas, vice presidents; B. Krishna, joint secretary, and Babji, treasurer.
All the new office bearers of the association will be sworn in on Monday.
Ramakrishna told Deccan Chronicle that the new body will take steps to benefit paddy farmers and at the same time seek support from the government.
