Ravela Kishore Babu Resigns from YSRC

Hyderabad: After YSRC's debacle in the recent Assembly polls, party leader Ravela Kishore Babu resigned on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravela said, "TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu gave me an opportunity, and I worked as a minister under his dynamic leadership. I feel unhappy every time for not being a part of the party."
He also stated that he tried to work under Naidu's leadership, but it hadn't worked out due to some reasons.
"I joined YSRCP thinking that political power for SCs and STs would be possible with the party. But the people rejected the party. They gave such a mandate to the TDP, believing that development would be possible under Naidu's leadership," he added.
Ravela also expressed hope that the categorization of SCs would find a solution soon.

In the recently concluded Assembly polls, TDP won 135 seats, Janasena secured 21 seats, BJP emerged victorious in 8 seats, while YSRC managed to win only 11 seats in the state.
