Re-investigate ex-MP family kidnap case: JS leader
Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena leader Peethala Murthy Yadav has demanded reinvestigation into the case related to the kidnapping of former Visakhapatnam MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana’s family and the latter’s business partner Gannamani Venkateswara Rao (GV).
Murthy Yadav told media on Saturday that a year has passed since the kidnap, yet the mystery surrounding the case remains unresolved. He charged that gangsters are involved in the case, whom, the JS leader alleged, MVV and GV have used to amass thousands of crores-worth property, along with political power.
He accused leaders of previous government and police officials of neglecting the kidnap case, which is not simple as it appears but part of an extortion scheme wherein innocent people, NRIs and property owners have lost their assets.
Murthy Yadav called for a CBI and ED investigation into the doings of MVV and GV, their political links, as well as their connections with gangsters.
He underlined that the accused Venkat arrested in this case is involved in settlement of hundreds of acres of land worth thousands of crores. He said information that kidnappers behaved cruelly with MVV's wife Jyoti and son must also be investigated.
