Revenue sadassus in 17,404 AP villages from Dec 6

Vijayawada:Revenue minister Anagani Satyaprasad announced that from December 6, Revenue sadassus (conferences) will be held across all 17,404 villages in Andhra Pradesh to address various revenue-related grievances, including land encroachments. He made it clear that the state government will take stern action against those involved in land grabbing.

Speaking on Tuesday, the minister alleged that during the previous YSR Congress regime, many individuals had been coerced into surrendering their properties, a prominent example being takeover of major stakes in Kakinada Port by Aurobindo.

Satyaprasad said after the coalition government has taken over, they have received numerous complaints regarding revenue issues, over 10,000 of them related to land grabbing. To resolve these, he said revenue sadassus are being held across all villages to address various revenue-related grievances, including land encroachment.

The minister said, “These meetings will serve as a platform for citizens to file complaints, which will be registered online and receipt of the complaint issued on the spot. Each complaint will be resolved within a defined period, ensuring timely action.”

Satyaprasad said complaints related to other government services will be referred to village secretariats for resolution.

“The government is committed to ensuring that people's property rights are safeguarded,” he declared.
