Roja slams govt on women safety
Anantapur:Former minister R.K. Roja lashed out at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, TD general secretary Nara Lokesh, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan over the government’s failure to protect women and its misuse of police powers. Speaking to the media on Saturday, Roja questioned whether the state was being governed democratically or under a dictatorship.
Roja referred to the recent case of Peddireddy Sudharani, who was allegedly kidnapped and taken across several towns, including Chilakaluripet, Ongole, and Guntur, before being brought to court after several days. The YSRC leader blamed the police for their failure to take responsible action under the current leadership. She also criticized Pawan Kalyan for not intervening against TDP workers who were spreading malicious propaganda about his family.
Roja further condemned the filing of false cases against women and innocent individuals, calling for strict action against those responsible for spreading fake news and abusive posts, including attacks on popular film stars like Prabhas and Allu Arjun.
Roja warned those misusing their power in support of unlawful activities that they would face consequences. She urged the government to prioritize justice and accountability over personal vendettas.
