RPO Vijayawada Delivers Over 3.2 Lakh Passport Services in 2024

Vijayawada: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) Vijayawada has marked a significant achievement in 2024, delivering a total of 3,23,553 passport-related services. Regional Passport officer K. Siva Harsha highlighted that this success is a result of improved citizen service and efficient operations through two Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in Vijayawada and Tirupati, as well as 13 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) across the central and Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh.
Siva Harsha stated, “To improve service delivery, the RPO Vijayawada has undergone significant infrastructure upgrades. In June 2024, the office was awarded the 'Best Office in its Category' for exceptional service standards in 2023-24. Additionally, the PSK in Vijayawada is expanding, with the upgraded facility expected to be operational soon.”
The officer also announced that starting January 2025, a special drive will take place on Wednesdays at the PSK in Vijayawada, offering 250 additional appointments to streamline the passport application process. Furthermore, the number of Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) appointments at the 13 POPSKs will also increase.
Siva Harsha urged citizens to avoid touts or agents for passport services and reminded applicants that appointments can be scheduled or rescheduled through the official website: www.passportindia.gov.in. Reflecting on the successes of 2024, he reaffirmed their commitment to providing excellent service in the future.
