Rural Development a Priority: Minister Dola

Kurnool: Social Welfare Minister Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has emphasized that the state government prioritizes the progress of rural areas.

On Monday, he inaugurated the CC roads constructed under the Palle Pandanga programme in PC Palli Mandal at a cost of approximately ₹2 crore. Local legislator Mukku Ugranarasimha Reddy was also present.

The minister said the long-awaited cement roads were readied for traffic in a matter of eight months, fulfilling the aspirations of the villagers. The local legislators had focused on this initiative, contributing to its fast execution, he said.

MPDO Prabhakar Sharma, Tahsildar Usha, Panchayat Raj DE Sridhar Reddy, AE Thirupalayya and other officials were present.

Following the road inauguration, the minister, along with the MLA, visited the Kancharlavari Palle Zilla Parishad High School, where they inspected the mid-day meal being served to students. The minister ate lunch with the students to ascertain its quality. He asked officials to strictly follow the menu guidelines.

The minister also laid the foundation for additional class rooms, which would be built at a cost of Rs 64.70 lakh at the school under the PM Sri Scheme. Additionally, Rs 5 lakh was allocated for developing the school playground.

Later, the minister and MLA visited the government degree college. Swamy laid the foundation for new infrastructure under the PM Usha Scheme, with a Rs 5 crore allocation for construction, repairs and a provision of equipment and facilities.

The minister said the government would continue to prioritize the education sector, youth development and job creation. He announced that Reliance Company would establish a renewable energy plant spanning 4,000 acres in Kanigiri and hinted at a positive update regarding the establishment of an IIIT in the region.

Senior engineering official P Bhaskara Babu, DEE Jagan Mohan Rao and other officials were present.
