SCR GM inspects at Rayanapadu station, Krishna bridge
South Central Railway (SCR) general manager Arun Kumar Jain led an inspection at key locations including Rayanapadu station, Krishna river bridge, and the Vijayawada – Telaprolu section of the Vijayawada division on Tuesday. He was accompanied by divisional railway manager and other branch officers.
The inspection started at the Krishna East. Demonstrations of innovations, protective guards for girder bridges to prevent corrosion, and an anti-creep device, were conducted. This was followed by a rear-window inspection of the Vijayawada – Telaprolu section. At Gannavaram, he observed the working of the newly-modified Ballast cleaning machine. He also examined the Vossloh Fastening System installed on modern sleepers and commended the engineering team’s innovations for optimising manpower, time, and resources.
At Rayanapadu station, he reviewed track safety and flood-affected yards. He commended the branch officials for their relief and rescue operations conducted. Later, the progress of tripling works between Vijayawada and Kazipet was also reviewed.
ADRM (operations) Srinivasa Rao Konda also took part in the inspection.
