Vijayawada:Experts managed to salvage the second boat and pull it towards the Punnami ghat to anchor it safely, similar to the practice they adopted to salvage the first boat, in Krishna River at Prakasam barrage on Thursday.
As the second boat too capsized and fell on the river bed, the experts managed to drag it for some distance with the help of two big boats connected together with a girder and later pulled it in the water towards the Punnami ghat and secured it there.
On Friday, the experts will have to face a tough task to salvage the stranded boat from the river at the barrage as it capsized, fell on the river bed and overturned. They will first have to set the boat right on the river bed, drag it for some distance on the river bed and subsequently lift the boat up in the water to pull it towards the Punnami ghat to secure it.
