Serve people better, Pawan tells JS leaders
VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena president and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan exhorted party leaders appointed to various nominated posts to diligently discharge their duties and serve people.
Addressing a meeting at his residence in Mangalagiri on Saturday, the JS chief emphasised on the importance of avoiding corruption and not repeating the mistakes committed by the previous YSRC government.
Pawan Kalyan said an ideal leader serves people irrespective of caste, creed or religion. He underlined that nominated posts provide an opportunity to leaders to serve and support the people, who have placed their faith in the NDA alliance government. He also wanted his party leaders to use their positions to bring JS closer to the people.
The Deputy CM instructed his party leaders to honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu according to the protocol. He reminded them that they represent the NDA, not just Jana Sena.
"You should use your new roles to accomplish at least four to five tasks, which leave an everlasting impact," he told his party leaders.
Pawan Kalyan observed that the demand of several political parties for a caste census is politically motivated. He, however, said conducting a caste census alongside a skill census will benefit marginalised communities.
