Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has transferred seven District Medical and Health Officers (DMHOs) across the state for administrative reasons. The transfers, authorised after the relaxation of the transfer ban, aim to improve the efficiency of the Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department.
Dr G Geethabai, Krishna DM&HO, has been transferred to Vijayawada Municipal Corporation as Chief Medical & Health Officer. Dr S Sharmistha, Eluru DM&HO, is now the Krishna DM&HO.
Other transfers include Dr B Meenakshi (Srikakulam DM&HO) to Visakhapatnam RTC Principal, Dr S Bhaskara Rao (Vizianagaram DM&HO) to Parvathipuram Manyam district, and Dr M Penchalaiah (Nellore DM&HO) to Additional DM&HO in Rampachodavaram.
Dr U Sreehari (Tirupathi DM&HO) has been posted to CSRMO at KGH, Visakhapatnam, and Dr O Prabhavati (Chittoor DM&HO) has been posted as Additional DM&HO in Paderu.
