Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president, YS Sharmila on Wednesday congratulated Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan on their landslide victory in the recently concluded Assembly polls.
In a post on 'X', she advised that the new government should focus on people centric development and said that the state needs Special status, and completion of Polavaram and other projects along with the capital city and jobs for the youth. She also stressed on balancing development and welfare.
The congress chief demanded that the TDP-Janasena extend support for the BJP at the centre only if they guarantee special status and other promises made after the bifurcation of the state.
The congress party will continue to be the voice of the people and will question the government on failures, Sharmila added.
