Smuggler held with red sanders in Rayachoti

According to officials, the incident took place along the Rayachoti–Gadikota route when the RSASTF team, during a vehicle check, tried to stop the car. But, the driver tried to flee, prompting the police to chase the vehicle and stop it and detained the driver. Then the officials found four red sanders logs and shifted them to the Tirupati Task Force police station.

The operation was carried out as part of a special drive directed by RSASTF chief L. Subba Rayudu and supervised by Task Force SP P. Srinivas. The team, led by RSI C. Vinod Kumar, was conducting combing operations in the Veeraballi forest area under the Rajampet division, in coordination with local forest officials. A case was registered and further investigation was underway under the supervision of DSP Srinivasulu Reddy and CI Suresh Kumar.
