District SP G. Krishnakanth on Tuesday distributed advanced communication sets, known as manpacks, with modern technology to the traffic police personnel to regulate traffic and strengthen surveillance in emergency situations.
He stated that manpacks are useful for alerting the police to regulate traffic immediately in case of any traffic disruption, festivals, VIP visits, processions, immersions, and other events. The SP advised the traffic police to remain vigilant and carry out their duties equipped with these communication manpacks.
