Srisailam draws massive crowd of devotees

Kurnool: Srisailam temple witnessed a significant surge in devotees over the weekend holidays, with long queues forming for Arjitha Sevas and Sparsha Darshanam. Previously restricted on busy days, these special sevas are now being offered even on public holidays, albeit within limited hours. This change, introduced by the new executive officer, has drawn large crowds eager to participate in these services.

On Saturday, devotees lined up from morning till evening to visit the main deities, Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba Devi, and to avail of Sparsha Darshanam. To manage the rush, temple officials facilitated online bookings and, when possible, issued tickets an hour in advance based on availability.

The revised schedule ensures Sparsha and Alankara Darshanam are accessible on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, and public holidays. Alankara Darshanam timings are 4:30 AM–7:30 AM, 9:30 AM–11:45 AM, 1:30 PM–4:00 PM, and 5:30 PM–8:30 PM. Sparsha Darshanam is available from 7:30 AM–9:30 AM, 11:45 AM–1:30 PM, and 8:30 PM–10:00 PM.

These changes have resulted in a marked increase in pilgrim footfall, especially on holidays and busy days, reflecting the overwhelming response to the temple's revised schedule.
