Srisailam EO Suspends Sevas on Public Holidays, Weekends and Mondays

Kurnool: The Srisailam temple authorities have decided to stop Sparsha Darshanam and Arjitha Abhishekam on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, as well as on public holidays and other occasions, to facilitate hassle-free darshan for common devotees.

The temple’s Vaidika Committee has planned to offer only the Alankara Darshanam of Lord Siva to all devotees. However, on other days, all types of Arjitha Sevas and Sparsha Darshanam will be available as usual.

Temple executive officer S.S. Chandrasekhar Azad on Tuesday announced that this decision was made by the temple's Vaidika Committee and relevant officials during a meeting held late Monday. According to the EO, the Devasthanam has been witnessing a significant increase in the number of devotees.

To manage the influx of crowds and minimise waiting time, the temple administration has suspended certain sevas on busy days. Previously, Sparsha Darshanam and Arjitha Abhishekam were available. Similarly, Samuhika Arjitha Abhishekam has also been discontinued these days. The EO stated that during these periods, only Alankara Darshanam will be available to devotees. Additionally, Udayasthamana Seva, Pratahakala Seva, and Pradosha Kala Seva have been suspended. Further, Kumkuma Pooja in the main mandapam of Goddess Bhramaramba's temple has also been put on hold to manage crowds.

The temple authorities have also halted the online sale of tickets for these sevas during restricted days. However, those devotees who purchased tickets before the suspension will still be able to attend. The EO requested devotees to cooperate with these changes and continue their worship with devotion.
