Kurnool:The Srisailam reservoir is currently releasing 3,46,290 cusecs of water as it receives an inflow of 4,10,581 cusecs from upstream areas. To manage the excess water, officials have lifted nine gates. The reservoir is at full capacity, holding 215 TMC feet of water. Upstream, Almatti is releasing 1.76 lakh cusecs, Jurala 3.20 lakh cusecs, and Narayanpur 1.86 lakh cusecs.
Due to heavy rains, Srisailam reservoir authorities plan to increase the outflow over the next few days.
