Srisailam Temple Gets Over Rs 3.39 Cr Hundi Collection
Kurnool: Srisailam temple earned over Rs 3.39 crore in donations through hundis from devotees visiting the temple over the past 23 days.
According to the temple's executive officer, M. Srinivasa Rao, the counting of the hundi collection began on Thursday. Devotees had deposited Rs 3,39,61,457 in the hundis. In addition, foreign currency notes were also found, including 481 US dollars, 35 Canadian dollars, 60 Australian dollars, 60 Singapore dollars, 20 UK pounds, 15 Malaysian ringgits, 140 UAE dirhams, 2000 Ugandan shillings, and 600 Omani baisa. The executive officer also mentioned that devotees had offered 139.200 grams of gold and 5.400 kg of silver to both Swamy and Ammavaru.
