Strict adherence to time slots for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan: TTD chairman
Tirupati: TTD chairman BR Naidu has stressed that devotees must strictly adhere to the time slots and dates mentioned on their tickets or tokens for the Vaikunta Dwara Darshan.
This is to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience, thereby avoiding long waiting hours, he said on Sunday.
The chairman inspected the arrangements for Vaikunta Ekadashi along the four mada streets of the Srivari temple in Tirumala. Addressing the media later, he emphasized that tickets or time-Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens are mandatory for darshan.
Naidu announced that the TTD has made plans to issue 1.20 lakh SSD tokens starting at 5am on January 9 for darshan on January 10, 11, and 12. The tokens will be distributed at 94 counters, including 90 counters at eight centers in Tirupati and four counters at one centre in Tirumala.
In Tirupati, the distribution centers include the Indira Maidanam, Ramachandra Pushkarini, Srinivasam Complex, Vishnu Nivasam Complex, Bhudevi Complex, Ramanaidu High School in Bairagipatteda, ZP High Schools in MR Palle and Jeeva Kona.
For locals residing in Tirumala, tokens will be distributed at the Balaji Nagar Community Hall.
He further stated that from January 13 to 19, tokens will be issued on the day prior to darshan at three centers in Tirupati—Bhudevi Complex, Srinivasam Complex, and Vishnu Nivasam Complex.
Naidu said, keeping in mind past experiences, the TTD is making extensive arrangements for Vaikunta Ekadashi this year.
