Strong thunderstorm lashes Kurnool
Kurnool: A brief but intense thunderstorm hit Kurnool city on Sunday, bringing strong winds, heavy downpours, and much-needed relief from the scorching heat. The storm, which lasted for about half an hour, began with powerful winds, thunder, and lightning. The winds were so strong that some RCC roofs on terraces were blown away. Despite its short duration, the heavy rainfall provided significant respite to residents who had been enduring oppressive heat for over two weeks. While the city experienced consistent rainfall in June and sporadic showers in July, the rain had ceased in August, leading to a return of summer-like conditions with temperatures hovering around 34 to 35 degrees Celsius.
