Submit Reports Immediately on Land, Property, Electricity, Drinking Water, Medical Health, and Education Departments
Vijayawada: Chief Secretary to AP Government, Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy ordered to take timely action on the issues discussed and submit reports immediately, especially about land, property, electricity, drinking water, medical health and education departments. The action report on the important issues discussed in the meeting of CSs has to be submitted to NITI Aayog, so the relevant departments have been ordered to take immediate action.
The CS reviewed the actions taken by the concerned departments on various issues related to the state in the 3rd National Chief Secretaries meeting held in Delhi from last December 27 to 29 at Velagapudi State Secretariat on Wednesday. The relevant departments have been ordered to take timely action on the issues discussed and submit reports immediately. He mentioned that in the month of July the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting will be held and the actions taken on the issues discussed in the previous CS meeting will be reviewed. He said that the respective departments have to take action on 117 actionable points related to five departments.
Dr Jawahar Reddy stated that so far, action has been taken on 43 points, actions have been initiated on 60 points, action is still to be taken on 17 points, and answers are to be received from the respective departments on 7 points. He ordered the secretaries of the respective departments to take appropriate measures on 28 issues related to IT and Artificial Intelligence. He stated that there is a need to include a special chapter in the curriculum, especially regarding drinking water, so that everyone along with the students will be aware of the need to conserve drinking water and save water.
He directed the officials of the Protected Fresh Water Supply and Municipal Department to take appropriate operational measures to enable water supply through various single village protected fresh water supply schemes with solar power during the day.
Talking about the issues related to the medical health department, tuberculosis, TB, education from the community. CS Jawahar Reddy ordered the officials of the Medical and Health Department to take steps to formulate and implement appropriate action plans to eradicate the diseases completely. State Planning Secretary Girija Shankar explained the measures taken and to be taken in the respective departments through a PowerPoint presentation.
Special Principal Secretaries of Energy, Medical Health, Agriculture and Finance Departments K. Vijayanand, MT Krishna Babu, Gopala Krishna Dwivedi and SS Rawat, Principal Secretary of Water Resources, PR and R&D Shasibhushan Kumar, Secretary of IT Department K. Shasidhar and other officials were present virtually for this meeting. Also, officials of the relevant departments and others participated in this meeting.
