Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy T20 tournament to begin in Vizag from Nov. 23

Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) Secretary, Sana Satish Babu, announced that the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy national T20 cricket tournament will be held across three venues: PM Palem ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, PVG Raju Complex, and the Stadium in Vizianagaram. The tournament will run from November 23 to December 5, with teams from Assam, Railways, Chandigarh, Pondicherry, Vidarbha, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh participating. The participating teams have already arrived in Visakhapatnam, and the event will feature players who have represented India and played in the IPL.


NTPC Simhadri appoints Sameer Sharma as new head of project

Visakhapatnam – Sameer Sharma, a 36-year veteran of NTPC, has been appointed as Head of Project at NTPC Simhadri. Sharma previously served as the Chief General Manager (Operations and Management) at NTPC Vindhyachal and joined NTPC on August 24, 1988.

CPM denounces proposed toll gates on rural roads

The CPM's Anakapalli District Secretary, K. Lokanadham, has condemned the state government's proposal to install toll gates on state, district, and village roads. He criticised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's plan, calling it a "Tughlaq-era" approach to governance that unfairly burdens citizens. The CPM leader warned of potential public backlash if the government does not immediately withdraw the toll gate proposal, arguing that the move reflects a lack of genuine concern for citizens' economic challenges.

During the event, the officers engaged with NCC cadets and showcased the Indian Navy's multidimensional operational capabilities and technological innovations.
