Vijayawada:Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced in the assembly on Tuesday that the disbursement of funds under the Talliki Vandanam welfare scheme would start in May.
Naidu emphasized that the scheme would be applicable to all children regardless of the number of kids in a house.
The CM made it clear that all the promises made in the TD election manifesto will be fulfilled despite the heavy financial constraints. “The government is committed to fulfill all the promises made to the people before elections,” he said and released the schedule on the floor of the assembly on the implementation of the Super-Six schemes.
Responding to the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor's address to the joint session of the legislature, Naidu asked whether the demand of the YSRC that the Centre sanction Special Category Status for the state, which was “against the norms”, was justifiable.
Naidu said, “It is not the ruling dispensation that accords Opposition party status for the YSRC. That depends on the decision taken by the people.”
He said the state government was moving ahead with the objective of Swarnandhra Vision-2047 and that the central assistance for the development of the state was commendable.
Naidu said AP was passing through various constraints due to the “inefficient” rule of the previous government. He went on record from the floor of the house, saying he appreciated the efforts of Pawan Kalyan as deputy chief minister. "Also, I appreciate the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is extending all kinds of cooperation for the progress of the state."
aidu regretteNd that the proceedings of the house in the past five years were very unpleasant. Making it clear that the state was now moving forward with the aim of achieving 15 per cent growth rate, he said that he wanted to take AP to the level of a $42,000 per capita income state by 2047.
Reaffirming that his government was committed to fulfill the promise of providing 20 lakh jobs, the CM said MoUs have been signed with various companies for providing employment to 6.50 lakh youths. “The vacancies that arise in various government departments will be filled and we will pay a `3,000 unemployment allowance to the jobless youth.”
Appreciating the roles of Pawan Kalyan and minister, Lokesh in launching the mid-day meal scheme in the name of Dokka Seethamma, he said “school kits are being supplied in the name of Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan's name through Vidya Mitra scheme.”
“The Talliki Vandanam scheme will be implemented in May,” he said and stated that `20,000, including the central assistance of `6000 will be paid to the farmers through Anna Data Sukhibhava scheme in three installments.
The CM declared that all the teacher vacancies will be filled through DSC in the coming academic year. Naidu asserted again that his aim was that Telugus should be in top positions across the globe.
He said food security would be given the highest priority. "My Government's first priority is zero poverty. My aim is building a poverty-free state,” Naidu added.
