Vijayawada: Former MLA Dokka Manikya Varaprasad strongly criticised YSR Congress MLC Ananth Babu, alleging that his conduct has led to his widespread unpopularity after a video of the MLC went viral on social media platforms. Dokka has called for Ananth Babu's suspension from YSRC and also an end to his political life.
Varaprasad came down heavily on Ananth Babu and criticised the former Chief Minister and YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for not taking action against him. He further alleged that Ananth Babu had been involved in training YSRC workers in harmful practices, including violence against Dalits and harassment of women. The TD leader alleged that the behaviour of Ananth Babu was unacceptable and demanded that stern action be taken against him to prevent him from continuing in positions of power and influence.
Varaprasad also announced that he would meet AP Governor Abdul Nazeer and complain against the MLC underscoring the gravity of his concerns. He urged party leaders to take immediate action against both Ananth Babu and former MLC Thota Trimurthulu. He said this is not just about individual misconduct but about the shameful practice of training individuals in criminal activities.
