TD leader files complaint against Jagan for remarks on CM
VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam leader Buddha Venkanna lodged a complaint on Sunday against YSR Congress MP Vijayasai Reddy for making objectionable comments about former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Venkanna met with Vijayawada Commissioner of Police, S.V. Rajasekhar Babu, urging legal action against Reddy for his remarks.
Reddy, in a post on X, had implied that Naidu was unfit to govern due to his age, suggesting Pawan Kalyan as a better alternative. The TD cadre condemned the comments as an attempt to create divisions within the coalition and demanded accountability.
Venkanna criticised Reddy for threatening to jail Naidu if YSRC regained power and challenged him to substantiate claims regarding the forcible acquisition of Kakinada Port. He also announced plans to consult legal experts to pursue defamation charges against Reddy.
