TD MLA-elect Vasu vows to work for development of city
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam MLA-elect from Rajahmundry City Assembly segment Adireddy Vasu promised to develop the city in a planned manner without causing any trouble to the residents.
He, along with NDA leaders, visited the Chiranjeevi Park near Kambala Tank and turned critical against the previous YSRC government for ignoring it and said that they would develop the Chiranjeevi Park in a big way.
Referring to the inundation in parts of the city even after moderate rainfall, Vasu slammed the previous rulers for paying more attention on getting margins of profit while taking up development of Kambala Park instead of its development.
He laid stress to take up construction of drainage at a cost of `45 crore to avoid inundation of areas like Tummalava, Lalitha Nagar and others from the floodwater coming from quarry towards Ramakrishna Math.
He turned critical on development of footpaths and dividers on the important roads without setting up manholes for taking up desiltation of drains. Citing an instance from Y-junction to Lalacheruvu, he said that no manholes were set up and wondered how the drains would be desilted.
