Teachers’ MLC election counting today
Kakinada: The counting of votes for the Teachers’ Constituency election for the erstwhile East and West Godavari districts will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTU-K) on Monday. The district administration has made all necessary arrangements for the process.
Election returning officer and district collector S. Shan Mohan stated that 15,490 votes were cast in the election, with the ballot boxes securely stored at the ground floor of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Central Library. The counting process is scheduled to begin at 8 am, and all counting personnel and agents have been instructed to report to the counting centre by 6 am
The collector noted that the counting will be conducted in 9 rounds across 14 tables. Special training sessions have been held for personnel involved in the counting process.
Meanwhile, district superintendent of police Vikrant Patil inspected the strong rooms and ballot boxes at JNTU-K on Sunday to ensure security measures are in place.
