Telugu Desam finally set to capture Tuni municipality
Senior Telugu Desam leader and the former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has dealt a deadly-blow to YSRC in Tuni municipality.

Kakinada:Senior Telugu Desam leader and the former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has dealt a deadly-blow to YSRC in Tuni municipality.
Following his efforts, the number of councillors who have joined the Telugu Desam has reached 16.
When elections had been held for the Tuni municipality, YSRC had won all the 30 seats in the council.
However, after the Telugu Desam-led NDA alliance formed the government, 10 councillors of YSRC defected to the TDP. On Monday, another six councillors joined the Telugu Desam.
On coming to know about this, Tuni municipal chairperson Eluri Sudharani resigned from her post immediately. She said she will continue as a YSRC councillor and raise her voice in the council in favour of various peoples’ issues. She alleged that the ruling Telugu Desam had either threatened or lured YSRC councillors into joining the ruling party.
The last councillor of YSRC to join the ruling TDP on Monday night in the presence of Ramakrishnudu is the present vice chairperson Rupa Devi.
