Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam Party won two Rajya Sabha seats and the BJP one from Andhra Pradesh in the by-elections held on Friday.
The three candidates were elected unanimously. Beeda Mastan Rao and Sana Satish Babu are the winners from the TD while Ryaga Krishnaiah won the seat on a BJP nomination. The opposition YSR Congress stayed away from the contest as it did not have the numbers to win the bypoll.
The returning officer and deputy secretary to the state legislature, Vanitha Rani, announced the results.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath alias Chinni and other leaders congratulated the leaders who won the three RS seats unanimously.
